Young Eagles Rally
November 9th 2002

47 Young Eagles were flown on November 9, 2002. Young Eagles were
from Acton (1), Arlington (1), Boxborough (2), Leicester (4),
Northboro (2), Northbridge (1), Peabody (2), Stow (1), Worcester
(10), and Lebanon, Maine (4).Many thanks to the pilots who flew, including Nels Anderson, Lee Cooprider, Mike Doyle, Jim Ellis, Bill Greenberg, Leo Hickey, Chris Jenkins, Norm Landry and Mark Saklad. And thank you to the other pilots, including Jon Engvall and ground crew that kept things "flying". Charlie Smith along with incoming YE coordinator Hector Constantzos were "coordinating" and busy with cameras and Young Eagles. Ken Roy helped out with photography and other needed tasks. Mary Smith and Charlotte Engvall were extremely busy at the registration table. Very grateful Charlotte was able to help as additional help was needed. There are many tasks involved for a rally and with everyone pitching in, the Young Eagles had their flight and an opportunity to fly with eagle's wings. A special thank you to Nancy's Air Field Cafe--warm coffee on a chilly day helps keep the chills away. Thanks for thinking of us.
Total so far for 2002 rallies is 289 kids with additional YE flights as Med Flights, Air LifeLine etc. submitted to YE Coordinator, Charlie Smith, and sent into Oshkosh.
